Made fashionable by the British Prime Minister, the Earl Charles Grey, in the 1830s, this bright, coppery black tea has oil from the bergamot citrus. Its enticing fruity aroma has given it a certain prestige among teas, especially as an accompaniment to afternoon tea sweets.

50 grams makes approximately 20 cups.

I LOVE Lady Baker's Earl Grey Tea!

Every morning my brew of choice is Lady Baker's decaf Earl Grey Tea. The cost of everything has skyrocketed over the past several years. For a short while I opted for store bought tea. However, when I did the math this local shop still offers a pretty good bang for the buck.

I hadn't realized the joy I was missing until I sipped it again. It is special. The bergamot in this loose tea adds a hint (just a hint) of citrus, adding to the tea's complexity. I brew mine using a diffuser in a Paderno tea pot. I've been guilty of leaving it a bit longer, yet it doesn't get bitter compared to store bought. It's lovely with a hint of cream, oat milk, almond milk or just black.

It soothes the mind, body and soul. I cannot recall how long its been since Katherine introduced this tea to her collection, but I consider myself quite fortunate to be one of her first customers. I still adore this locally run specialty shops.

This is hands down the best Earl Grey I’ve had anywhere in the world. Rich, flavourful and smooth. After having literally stumbled across this gem of a tea company while in Charlottetown last month I will be a lifelong customer!
