The Tea Lady becomes a rock band groupie!

As the owner of a small business, I seldom go off on a business trip except to take a course or attend a Tea Association of Canada conference. This next week, the opportunity has arisen to go west. Alberta calls! I have been so lucky to have 3 locations in AB where my teas are sold. The Nutters Health Food Chain has more locations and so I am off to check them out. These sales are the result of an industrious sales-minded brother who just happened to show my product as he visited the stores in Leduc, Camrose and Red Deer.

But there's another reason that I chose to go at the beginning of Canadian winter when the weather is iffy and flights get canceled. My son, Stephen, who currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina, is a singer/songwriter in a band called Holy Ghost Tent Revival. They are on tour, primarily in the States, but they are making their Canadian debut in Calgary on November 8 at a location called the Calgary Stampede City Sessions. He is the only Canadian in the band. The tea lady of Prince Edward Island will become a band groupie! They are a rock band and I may have to take my hearing aids out, but indulging in the blessing of watching my musician son generating the most amazing music with his very talented band mates is an awesome experience.

I am taking some of Lady Baker's pre-made tea bags for him to cram into his gym bag. Other family members living out west have placed their orders and of course I must bring samples for distribution. My suitcase will have little room for clothes. That's the way it is and I love it!
