Introducing Shane Pendergast

Happy Canada Day!! We'd like to kick off the long weekend by introducing you to the newest addition to the Tea Team. This summer we are thrilled to be welcoming a gentleman to the team! Shane Pendergast is joining us as one of our summer guest bloggers. He will be heading out on the road to visit retail locations in Atlantic Canada that sell and/or serve Lady Baker's Tea, so if you are on the trail be sure to look out for him! Shane is currently studying Film Production at York University in Toronto. His films "Remembrance Day", and "Walker" that he created with a friend were shown at the Charlottetown Film Festival last year, and his film "Man Plans, God Laughs" was shown at Viewfinders Film Competition. You can see some of Shane's short films on his YouTube account.

In addition to his film skills, Shane is an accomplished musician and performer. He plays guitar, harmonica, banjo and bass, and sings a rich variety of folk, Celtic and Maritime songs. If you're looking for some great music on Prince Edward Island this summer, his list of upcoming performances includes:

Sou' West Bar & Grill - Saturdays - 4:30 to 7:30
Mike & Tom's Ceilidh - Malpeque Hall on Wednesdays at 7:30 & Stanley Bridge Hall on Thursdays at 7:30
Run for the Hills - Clinton Hills on Sundays & Tuesdays at 6
Kitchen Party with the Pendys' - Stompin' Tom Centre on Mondays at 7

Shane is also a passionate writer. He won the National Remembrance Day Senior Essay Contest last year which gave him the opportunity to travel to Ottawa to lay a wreath on behalf of the youth of Canada. We are very excited to be welcoming Shane to the team for the season, and look forward to sharing his writing, photographs and video clips with you throughout the summer!

We are very impressed with your talent and ability. We really enjoyed your music with your dad, Tom and Andy at Maleque and Stanley Bridge the last two weeks. We hope to see you again next summer in beautiful PEI.
